Photo Therapy Flash (PTF) permanent hair reduction

PTF is a new generation IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology. Broad spectrum light is applied to skin and this light travels through the skin until it strikes the hair root. As the light is converted to heat energy, the root and most of the hair shaft are instantly vaporized. The intense heat radiated by the hair also destroys the hair-producing papilla or the entire hair follicle.

For best results, each area needs about 3-8 treatments. The reason being PTF or IPL only damages follicles that are in their growth phase, which means that each Intense Pulsed Light treatment will only be effective on about 60% of the hair follicles that are actively growing at that time. Further PTF/IPL hair removal treatments are necessary to tackle the remaining hair.
